The story of Queen Esther (Hadassa/Atossa) [Ussher's Annals of the World, 2006, p 128, ref 1036] is a true story of courage under captivity. Around 510 BC, Esther was chosen as the Queen after Vashti was deposed for refusing the king's request. During her reign the Jews were in danger of being murdered in the Kingdom. Her intervention saved the whole people group.
